Native & display · the sneaky one
Ads that read like the story.
Native ads sit right next to the articles people are already reading. Done well, they reach huge audiences who aren't on social or searching yet. Done badly, they set money on fire on junk sites at 3 a.m. I've been doing the “done well” version for years.
01 · What I do
What I actually do.
- 01
Advertorials & bridge pages
The page between the ad and the offer, telling the story that makes people want to buy. Message match from headline to checkout. And yes, I write them myself.
- 02
Headline & thumbnail testing
Native lives or dies on the click. I test angles in volume and bin the losers fast. No sentimental attachment.
- 03
Placement control
Widget- and site-level optimisation, blocking the placements that don't convert, bids per source. The networks' “trust us” default settings are not your friend.
- 04
Tracking that holds up
Server-to-server postbacks, click IDs and offline conversions, so the networks optimise on real sales, not on bots with excellent clicking stamina.
Experience. Native and display buying across NewsBreak, Outbrain, Taboola and Revcontent, from in-house software and ecommerce at Treexor and AvantisTeam to client accounts.
02 · Your goal
Built to make money.
Lead generation
An advertorial that explains the problem and the fix, then a short form for the people who are ready. Judged on lead quality, not just volume.
Ecommerce
A strong angle, a product story, and a bridge page that warms people up before they hit the shop. Judged on ROAS by site and widget, not on comforting network averages.
03 · How I measure it
CPA and ROAS broken down by site and widget, because a network average hides both the gold mines and the money pits.
04 · Common questions
Questions? Answers.
Is native right for my business?
Great for offers that need a bit of explaining: health, finance, home services, products with a story. If yours sells in five words, start with search or social. I'll tell you which.
Do you write the advertorials?
Yes. Copy, angles and landing pages are all part of the job. Honestly, it's my favourite bit.
What budget does it need?
Native needs volume to learn, so test budgets usually run bigger than on search. We'll work out a realistic number together on a call.

I read every message myself and reply within one working day.
